A SAD DAY

Today is one of the saddest days I have personally experienced. Our beloved Mason passed away last night. Our precious Golden Retriever. The world's perfect dog....seriously....he was the perfect dog. I write this in memory and in honor of him. He knows how much we loved him and I feel at peace with that--there was little pain and that makes me feel a tiny bit better.

In doggie heaven, mason is chasing tennis balls, breaking records for the world's longest pee, carrying stuffed animals in his mouth and becoming the coolest kid on the block. Mason, I hope it rains down milk bones every day up there in heaven. We love you.

  5. Summer, I hate to hear about Mason. I lost my 13 year old pekingese last February and am still just heartbroken. Thinking of you two and praying for you!

  6. Summer I could literally feel your pain on wednesday. Losing a beloved pet is excruciating. Time will make it better....but you will always miss him. The craziest things will spark a memory of him and you will just miss him like crazy. BTW....I love the pics of him....great lighting in the top and bottom one.

  7. Mason was a one of a kind dog. He loved rolling in the grass more than any dog I have ever known. His Billy Idol smile always made everyone laugh. He will be missed by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him.
Thinking of you during this sad time.
    love you both.
